Males who have reached the age of 55 on or
before the event date are eligible to participate, receive
prizes, earn “Senior Golfer of The Year” points and to become
the Zone 4 Senior Men’s Champion.
Golfers who will reach the age of 55 by the
first day of the BCGA Senior Amateur Championship may enter
the Zone 4 Senior Amateur Championship solely for the purpose
of earning a Zone 4 Team position.
A team consisting of the four lowest 36 hole
gross scores posted at the Zone 4 Senior Championship, will,
providing they enter the BCGA Provincial Senior Championship,
receive a team shirt and cap and will represent Zone 4 at the
Provincial Senior Championship.
All contestants must be Zone 4 members with
valid BCGA handicap index cards duly signed within 14 days of
the event.
The maximum handicap used for prizes is 20,
however, higher handicap players may enter and will be
accepted providing there are tee times available. Guests, age
55 or over introduced by a competitor will be allowed to play
if there is room but are not eligible for prizes. In the
unlikely event that the maximum number of competitors has been
reached, Guests, and then highest handicaps in that order will
be the used to reduce the field.
The Derek Glazer Trophy, (Senior Golfer Of The
Year) will be awarded to the competitor who accumulates the
most points during the year, based on low gross scores. |
