BC Golf House Society

The idea of a museum at the old UBC Golf Course Clubhouse was born at an Inter-Club directors meeting in early 1986 when we learned that the 1930 clubhouse was to be torn down with a new clubhouse built further west. No more ideal site for our dream could have been imagined than to renovate and refurbish a heritage clubhouse on a golf course site.

With the blessing of the University Endowment Land Authority, the University Golf Club group and a good deal of volunteer help, the incorporation of the Society became effective January 1987. Golf House now houses the most extensive and interesting collection of golf memorabilia in Canada and its Directors welcome your interest and active participation.

Golf House is constantly on the lookout for antique items and if you have anything relating to golf, which you think may be collectable, let us know. Items such as clubs, golf balls, bags, books, china, films, prints trophies etc. may be just what the society is looking for, so please drop in.

The BC Golf Museum and Hall of Fame depends upon the support of golfers who can contribute as members, individually or corporately. Details are available on the web site. Golfers may also wish to participate in our Volunteer Programs that offer opportunities to contribute time and talents in a variety of interesting areas (see the information on our web site).
